Why This Master Bathroom Remodel Was the Ultimate Self-Care Upgrade
A well-designed master bathroom remodel can completely transform your daily routine. For this project, our clients weren’t just seeking an update. They envisioned a personal spa retreat that would bring high-end wellness features into the comfort of their home.
Their previous bathroom was dark, dated, and no longer suited their lifestyle. As active professionals who value self-care, they wanted a space that encouraged restoration and calm. The new design focused on a clean, light-filled aesthetic paired with wellness-forward features—starting with an infrared sauna and steam shower.
While today’s wellness bathrooms offer incredible benefits, they also demand considerable power. To bring this vision to life, we added new framing, plumbing, and electrical to accommodate the Kohler steam generator and DTV+ digital interface. A steam venting system was also installed to minimize moisture in the space. In addition to the electrical needed for the sauna and steam shower, this bathroom also included heated floors, heated towel bar, and smart lighting.
The Results: A Luxury Bathroom That Puts Wellness First
The completed space is calm, functional, and inviting. Warm, marble-look porcelain tile sets a spa-like tone throughout, enhanced by heated flooring in the main bath, shower, and benches. The custom double vanity offers plenty of storage with the added elegance of mirrored towers. The true standouts, though, are the infrared sauna, steam shower, and freestanding soaking tub—all tied together with dimmable smart lighting and a heated towel bar for ultimate comfort. Our clients now have the wellness experience they once sought in gyms and spas—only steps from their bedroom. It’s a master bathroom remodel that elevates both their space and their daily lives.
