Sharon Hicks
President & Certified Kitchen and Bath Designer
Sharon Hicks, CKBD, Associate ASID, is the President of Carriage House Custom Homes. She is involved in all of the day-to-day activities of the company including showroom sales, product ordering and selections, vendor selections, design and selection activities. Sharon’s personal mission is to bring the best possible end result to everyone’s home.
Sharon has been a professional Kitchen and Bath designer working in the industry for over 20 years. She is certified with the National Kitchen and Bath Association (NKBA) as an Certified Kitchen and Bath Designer. She is active within the NKBA community both on a local and national level and the local ASID chapter. With a passion for community service and involvement, Sharon is involved locally with the Boys and Girl Club of Middle Tennessee which give her the opportunity to lend her time and talents to help make a difference in her community.
Scott Hilla
Senior Project Manager
Scott Hilla is the Senior Project Manager. Scott oversees all of our cabinetry sales, and residential remodel projects. He is AutoCad and 20/20 Design trained and brings many years of sales and design experience to Carriage House. He has overseen many kitchen and bath projects from small to large, new construction to historical homes. He has been a Franklin resident since 2015, previously living in Sarasota, Fl for many years. In his free time, he enjoys travel, cooking, music, and the beach.
Scott’s professional mission is to ensure satisfaction with each client. Whether remodeling one area of the home or many areas, construction can become overwhelming at times and Scott prides himself on his ability to put his clients needs first and keep their minds at ease from start to finish.

Kim Byrd
Kitchen & Bath Designer
Kim Byrd is a seasoned Kitchen & Bath Designer at Carriage House with over 30 years of experience creating award-winning spaces from blue-print to completion. Born and raised in the South, Kim recently made the move to Nashville, bringing her warm, down-to-earth style with her. She’s passionate about making the design process fun and enjoyable while ensuring each project is tailored to meet her clients’ unique needs.
When she’s not drafting up dream spaces, Kim is a proud mom and “Bams” who loves spending her free time on the water, especially boating with family and friends.
Kelsey Benson
Social Media & Showroom Coordinator
Kelsey Benson brings creativity and energy to our team as our Social Media and Showroom Coordinator. She is a #TrueBlue graduate of Middle Tennessee State University with a degree in Media Communications. Kelsey’s professional passion and goal is to always promote positive content through social channels. While social media is her specialty, her talents extend to all things digital—marketing, media, and graphic design.
Kelsey is also the friendly face who greets you when you visit our showroom, where she ensures everything is welcoming, clean, and beautifully arranged. Her eye for detail and dedication to both online and in-person experiences help shape the heart of Carriage House.
When she’s not behind the screen or perfecting our showroom, you can usually find Kelsey dancing at a concert or planning her next travel adventure. She is a volunteer assistant dance teacher, and loves helping children grow confidence and skills inside and out of the studio.

Kellie Martinez
Accounting Manager
Kellie Martinez brings over 20 years of experience across multiple industries to her role as Accounting Manager at Carriage House. With degrees in both accounting and psychology, it allows her to blend analytical skills with an understanding of team dynamics and client needs. As Accounting Manager, Kellie oversees all financial operations and her passion for accuracy and efficiency ensures that the financial side of Carriage House continues to run smoothly and grow with financial integrity. Her goal is to streamline the financial processes to help the company expand its reach and maintain its reputation for exceptional craftsmanship and client satisfaction.
Outside of work, Kellie is a proud wife and mom of two. She enjoys spending time outdoors, traveling and making memories with friends and family.
Waine Hicks
General Contractor
Waine Hicks is a Tennessee licensed General Contractor Residential/Commercial who brings craftsmanship to his work. With over 50 years of construction experience he thoroughly enjoys the building process and bringing dreams into reality. Attention to detail and customer service has been the foundation of his business ethic.
In his spare time, Waine enjoys his horses, fishing, baseball and spending time with his family and most importantly his grandchildren. Waine is dedicated to making a difference in everything he does.
